The Melbourne City Council provided a press release in May to confirm that the Melbourne NYE Fireworks will be staged on New Years Eve. It said in the release “New Year’s Eve will receive a $3.9 million investment, with rooftop fireworks set to return with a bang, along with family-friendly entertainment and live music.”
This is fabulous news for venues and events and people to plan with certainty. Melbourne NYE Fireworks traditionally are a main event for the end of year celebration. Last year some drones were used as a NYE lighting display in Docklands.
The Melbourne NYE fireworks over the rooftops will traditionally happen at midnight on 31st December. The Melbourne City Council did not have further specific details in the May press release. We certainly look forward to hearing about the fireworks plans and are sure they will be a significant part of the Melbourne celebrations. It’s also a boom for the Melbourne NYE celebration to receive a $3.9 million boost!
