Melbourne New Years Eve to go on without the Melbourne City Council fireworks display.  Instead Melbourne is promoting a foodies festival to run over the 2 days of NYE and NYD.

Sydney NYE will feature a toned down fireworks display to see in 2021.  The NYE crew believe lots of people will still be keen to wave goodbye 2020.  Many Sydney restaurants are arranging celebrations packages for the event.

To see in 2021 in Melbourne, NYE Drones may replace Fireworks. Melbourne Council is reviewing NYE 2020 celebration plans and drones and laser light shows are on the agenda to look at all options to celebrate seeing in 2021.

NYE Sydney 2020 to Go Ahead. The NSW Tourism Minister has given his approval for the Sydney New Years Eve 2020 celebrations to go ahead.  Sydney Council has the final say and is working on plans. It is understood there will be changes including some tinkering with the fireworks. Could there be more light shows? Let’s hope so!

NYE Adelaide 2020 to Add Drones. Reports are that Adelaide’s Elder Park NYE fireworks will incorporate drones and laser displays for see out NYE 2020 and welcome in 2021.  The ABC reports that the Council say fireworks will still be used. But the inclusion of lasers and drones in a light show is certain to excite the publics imagination.
