 The NYE Crew ventures into the BLVD boudwa and caught up with the BLVD team who will be coordinating the New Year festivities at thefabulous BLVD.When we caught up we asked how things are shaping up and of course what's hot! WOW ... this place is really cool Sarah. So okay, what does BLVD stand for!And is it named after BLVD in New York? BLVD: BLVD stands for Boulevard, a reference to 'Southbank Blvd' the street the venue runs alongside. Wow, Southbank will be alive and this is the place to be to be right in the thick of it on the Yarra? How long have you guys been doing this? BLVD: This will be our third New Years at Blvd overlooking Queensbridge Square - the event is a sell out every year. Its just a great location for New Years, thousands of people head into Southbank along the Yarra to check out the fireworks. It's always a huge party. NYE: Tell us about the hottest part of what punters can expect? BLVD: This year you can expect Dirty Laundry in their finest, the full 6 piece band will be performing upstairs in the Mosaic Lounge. Anyone who has seen them play live will tell you how talented they are - brilliant entertainers. Downstairs look forward to live band The RJ's as well as appearances by our resident DJ Grandpa Funk Junkie - always a crowd pleaser (just ask him)! NYE: What time does it all kick off? BLVD: Kick off is 8pm and drinks and food are included until 12am! Including basic spirits! NYE: What time does it finish? BLVD: It's going to be a late one - bring your dancing shoes NYE: What does it cost the punter? BLVD: $110 or $95 if you get in quick! NYE: Where can tickets be bought?
